DAVE CALIKES DJ BACK THEN? GOOD TIMES!
XMAS SHOPPING. EVERY YEAR.
All join hands together - Sinderins
A very talented Dundee band.
Mambo Number 5 by Lou Bega. I moved to Dundee when I was 17 and used to go to the Mardi Gras (aka the Manky Bra) with my college pals and dance to this and other pop classics :)
Up Wi the Bonnets of Bonnie Dundee
How such a great song back in the day still sounds good and makes you want to get up and dance. Another fantastic Dundonian band.
The Road and the miles to Dundee by Calum Kennedy
I can't separate Dundee and specifically the Rep with the songs of Oor Wullie the musical these days! In particular 'Monday' is in my head right now but I also love the power of the finale song when the performers harmonise and we all clap along. Hope we get to see OW again (or at least hear a cast recording!)
We saw Ricky Ross at Gardyne Theatre in Dundee.. Acoustic version of Wages Day describing the memories & excitement of getting wages in those times. The words paint an amazing picture and brought the anticipation to life.
Not a Dundee artist, but this song reminds me of the journey home on the train when I was a student. It reminds me of the joy of seeing Dundee on a sunny day when on the rail bridge, and the excitement of meeting my pals and seening family after being away for so long.
